Buddah album (see

R-0205 Dead Man, Dead Man - live version from Saenger Performing Arts Center, New Orleans, LA. 10 Nov 1981

This live performance is also on the B-side of a 1989 Japanese cassette single (scan required), on the 1993 Japanese promo CD Mr. D's Collection # 3 (see 1993), and on the 2001 Japanese live compilation Bob Dylan Live 1961-2000: Thirty Nine Years Of Great Concert Performances (see 2001)
The UK and Dutch 12" single has I Want You live from Dylan And The Dead as the third track. The UK single has a blue sleeve, while the Dutch single has a black sleeve. The right-hand pictures show the A- and B-sides of the original 12" UK acetate, stock labels with handwritten song titles. R-0205 is not shown as live (see comments below).
The vinyl singles themselves have red labels with the white CBS logo. The Dutch single label identifies the source of R-0205, but the UK label does not.
There was also a UK "Limited Edition" 12" single (CBS 655358 8) with free numbered print and sticker on cover. The labels of the record were still 655358 6.

Instead of the live I Want You on the 12" single, the 4 track CD single has Where Teardrops Fall from Oh Mercy and The Ugliest Girl In The World from Down In The Groove. Alan Hoaksey also reports a 12" single release with this tracklist but Hans Seegers says no such item was produced. The UK 5" CD single came in a card sleeve with a detail of the album front picture. It was made in the UK by PDO (Philips & Dupont Optical) at their plant in Blackburn, Lancashire. The 3" card sleeve is the only CD sleeve that actually identifies the performance of Dead Man, Dead Man - "Recorded live in New Orleans, November 10, 1981"! The 3" CD (right) is red, while the 5" CD is silver.

This single was only issued in the USA as a cassette.
It uses the same cover design as a US promo CD single with just the title track, see US & International Stereo Singles & EPs 1987-89. The cassette is light grey with black text, there are no paper labels.
