This page contains items that aren't eligible for the main Searching For A Gem or International Stereo Releases lists because Bob does not personally perform on them, but are nevertheless of interest to Dylan collectors. This page contains details of covers of Blowin' In The Wind, in some cases with extremely fanciful translations of the title. In countries like France, Germany or Sweden Blowin' In The Wind was always translated, with rare exceptions, as "Écoute Dans Le Vent", "Die Antwort Weiss Ganz Allein Der Wind" or "Vinden Ger Svar". However, in Spanish-speaking countries this song was translated in many different ways. Although the most usual were "La Respuesta Está En El Viento [The Answer Is In The Wind]" or "Soplando En El Viento [Blowing In The Wind]", there were many others, some of them amazing, like "Saber Que Vendrás [To Know He Will Come]", "Saber Que Estárás [To Know You Will Stay]", "Quisiera Saber [I Would Like To Know]", "Solo El Tiempo Puede Contestarnos [Only Time Can Answer Us]" and even "Algo Flota En El Viento [Something Floats In The Wind]"!
Even though there are over 1000 cover versions of this song, I have no details of singles chart success. In the UK Blowin' In The Wind has only entered the singles chart twice, in 1963 for Peter, Paul and Mary (#13) and in 1966 for Stevie Wonder (#36).
Because of the great length of the original page, it has been divided in three parts, of which this is Part 1 (1963-65). Links to Parts 2 and 3 are below, along with a page devoted to the large number of releases by Peter, Paul & Mary containing Blowin' In The Wind:
For the main Honourable Mentions page, click the "Up" link, Honourable Mentions video items are now here. For details of the false rumour that Blowin' In The Wind was really written by Lorre Wyatt, see here.
If you have any entries to add to the list or additions/corrections to existing entries, please let me know! Please note I cannot value your Dylan rarities - see the Mission page for reasons why. Contact the dealers on my Trading page for assistance!

Odetta - "Odetta Sings Folk Songs" - mono 7" EP, RCA Victor EPA-2643 (West Germany), Aug 1963:
This West German EP includes four tracks from Odetta Sings Folk Songs including Blowin' In The Wind, the only Dylan song, track 1 on the B-side. It was released in both promotional and commercial versions. Both have the same sleeve and a generic Teldec inner sleeve, printed on one side only. The commercial EP has black labels with silver lettering, while the promotional record has white labels with black text and the promo text "Unverkäufliche Musterplatte". There are also some differences in the record labels: the promotional EP labels have a big RCA logo at centre top, but no "RCA VICTOR", and a single line of copyright text that goes all the way round the circumference; the commercial labels have "RCA VICTOR", a smaller RCA logo, and two lines of copyright text that goes only part way round the circumference.

Time-Life TL SCC/20 (Holland for Europe/Australia/New Zealand) - front photo from eBay (includes Blowin' In The Wind by Jackie de Shannon) |
This was one of the first records ever recorded by another artist with Dylan tracks only (three Dylan-written songs plus Baby Let Me Follow You Down from Bob's first album). Her cover of Blowin' In The Wind is track 1 on the A-side and the other two Dylan songs are Don't Think Twice It's All Right and the unreleased Walkin' Down The Line. All four tracks are from her 1963 Liberty album Jackie de Shannon. Jackie de Shannon later released an album in 1965 called In The Wind, which also contained these four 1963 recordings. Her version of Blowin' In The Wind later appeared on a Time-Life 2CD compilation Sound Of The Sixties: Love And Peace in 2003, see International Album Releases (Various Artists Compilations) 2003.

Jackie de Shannon - "Blowin' In The Wind" - stereo 7" EP, Liberty LP-4188 (Japan), 1966 (two variants):
This Japanese 7" stereo EP came with a lyrics insert. Jackie's cover of Blowin' In The Wind is again track 1 on the A-side, but this EP has three different songs, including two of her own most famous compositions on the B-side (both covered by The Searchers in the UK).
The first variant is on red vinyl with black labels and white text. Her name is misspelled "JACKIE deSAHNNON" on the record labels! The second variant has white labels with red text. This time her name is spelled correctly as "JACKIE deSHANNON" on both sides.

Bob Harter - "The Bob Harter Songbag" - stereo 7" jukebox EP, Liberty LST-7330/SE-100 (USA), 1963:
The stereo record has six tracks from the stereo album. His cover of Blowin' In The Wind is track 2 on the B-side.
According to the album sleeve notes, Bob Harter started his musical career as an opera singer but finally he became a studio singer: his voice can be heard on other artists' records (e.g. Harry Belafonte) and on many TV jingles. This early cover of Blowin' In The Wind was originally included on his album The Bob Harter Songbag (Liberty LST-7330, USA stereo, 1963), an album of folk song covers. The front design of this EP is different from the album front (the mini pics have the front of the original album).

Les & Larry Elgart - "Big Band Hootenanny" - stereo 7" jukebox singles, Columbia JS7-83/S7 31943 (USA), 1963 (two variants):
This is one of a set of five 7" stereo jukebox singles in a envelope, containing ten tracks from the Columbia US stereo album Big Band Hootenanny (CS 8912) by Les and Larry Elgart. Their instrumental version of Blowin' In The Wind is the A-side of single #3. The variant 1 envelope had the stereo album artwork on the front, plus a fold-over flap, and black text on the rear. The variant 2 envelope is brown, with the text from the variant 1 rear on the front, and no text on the rear. The variant 2 singles have the same tracks as the variant 1 singles, but the black text is in a different typeface and is laid out slightly differently. The five singles come in the Columbia "STEREO SEVEN" sleeves as shown.
There was also a stereo jukebox EP ("Little LP") containing six tracks from the album (shown for completion), but it did not include Blowin' In The Wind.

Marie Laforêt - "Blowin In The Wind" - 7" mono EP and single releases, Festival (various catalogue numbers) (Worldwide), 1963 onwards:
"Marie Laforêt Chante Quatre Chansons De Folklore Américaine [Marie Laforêt Sings Four American Folk Songs]" - 7" mono EP releases, Festival ALB 5011 (France), 1963; Festival FX 45 1353 (France), 1963, re-released ca. 1967:
The EP with the attractive colour sleeve is a subsequent separate release. The record labels are similar apart from the different catalogue numbers, and both are undated. The very rare reissue released in France after 1967 has some differences from the earlier version: the front sleeve has lighter colours; the rear sleeve has a small sticker with the code "P4" above the Festival logo, a small promotional hole that doesn't affect the front, a cut-out edge, no fold-over flaps, and, although the printer is still "MSP", the printer text is different. The record labels look identical but the original release of 1963 has the copyright text written mostly in the upper half circumference (clockwise, starting at 8 and ending at 4), while this reissue copy has the copyright text hardly visible, but printed mostly in the lower half circumference (clockwise, starting at 2 and ending at 10)!
"Marie Laforêt Chante Quatre Chansons De Folklore Américaine [Marie Laforêt Sings Four American Folk Songs]" - 7" mono EP release, Festival FEP 1353 (Belgium), 1963, re-released 1964:
This separate release was also released in Belgium with the same catalogue number on the sleeve but another catalogue number, FEP 1353, on the record itself. It was originally released with a grey record label, and re-released in 1964 with a royal blue record label, which is very rare. The 1964 rear sleeve has a sticker from a record store in Liège.
"Marie Laforêt Chante Quatre Chansons De Folklore Américaine [Marie Laforêt Sings Four American Folk Songs]" - 7" mono EP release, Festival FX 45 1353 (France for Scandinavia), 1965:
"Marie Laforêt Chante Quatre Chansons De Folklore Américaine [Marie Laforêt Sings Four American Folk Songs]" - 7" mono EP releases, W&G E 2770 (Australia), 1963; Festival FX 1353 (Madagascar), 1963 (two variants):
"Marie Laforêt Chante Quatre Chansons De Folklore Américaine [Marie Laforêt Sings Four American Folk Songs]" - 7" mono EP releases, Festival FX 1353 (Madagascar), 1963 (two variants):
Book + EP Set - Book: "La Conquête de l'Ouest [How The West Was Won]" edited by Gautier-Languereau, (France/Belgium), 1963; EP: "Marie Laforêt Chante Quatre Chansons De Folklore Américaine", Festival ALB 45 5011 (France), 1963/Festival FEP 1353, (Belgium), 1963:
This EP can be found only in this set and it was never released separately; it has a monochrome sleeve fixed to the inside of the book cover, although some sellers used to sell this EP by removing the sleeve from the book (as Ronald Born's copy above), the value of the book and EP together is much higher than the two items separately. The sleeve has a mistake: the catalogue number here is "ABL 45 5011", but the book and record label have "ALB 45 5011".
The large sized book has two small stickers on the front: one at bottom left with the text "Marie Laforet chante le folklore américain", and another at bottom right with the Festival logo and catalogue number (there are no stickers on books that don't include the EP). The French and Belgian sets have the same book, but the records have different catalogue numbers.

"Blowin' In The Wind"/"House Of The Risin' Sun" - 7" mono single release, Columbia/Festival LL-3122 (Japan), 1963:
The record label is the EMI version of Columbia, at this time US Columbia Records were known as CBS in Japan as in Europe and other countries worldwide.
"Marie Laforêt" - 7" mono EP, Gamma/Festival GX 07-063 (Mexico), 1964 (two releases):
"The Girl With The Golden Eyes" - 12" stereo vinyl release, Ember STNR 5034 (UK), 1966; 7" stereo EP, Ember STEP 1353 (UK), 1966:
The UK compilation LP, (Ember Records NR 5034, mono, and STNR 5034, stereo) with a beautiful coloured sleeve, includes the four tracks released in 1963 on the French EP above. The stereo EP shown, originally released in France in mono in 1963, was released in the UK in 1966 not only with the identical tracklist, but also with the same catalogue number (1353). The EP front has a monochrome version of the album sleeve with the tracklist and a red Ember logo. The EP rear sleeve is also in monochrome. The record has red and yellow Ember labels. There does not appear to be a DVD release of the 1961 film under its French or English titles.
"Stade 1" - 7" mono EP, Select Mini-Micro/Festival SMM-733.006 (Canada), 1966:
"La Voix Du Silence [The Sounds Of Silence]"/"Blowin' In The Wind" - 7" mono single, Columbia/Festival LL-2177 F (Japan), 1968:
The single this time has a folded insert with a front still from the Dec 1967 film "The Graduate" with Dustin Hoffman and Anne Bancroft, lyrics on the rear, and comes in a generic red/yellow Columbia sleeve. (Simon & Garfunkel provided the soundtrack for the film.) The A-side is sung in a French version but the B-side is in English.

GNP Crescendo GNP 300x (USA) - 7" mono promo single in generic sleeve, A-side scan by Manuel García Jara |
Dennis & Rogers were Johnny Dennis and Netta Rogers. GNP
stands for "Gene Norman Presents" - Gene Norman was the President of the US
record company, founded in 1954. For Dylan Jazz, a 1966 GNP Crescendo
album by the Gene Norman Group, see
Blowin' In The Wind Covers 1966-69. The US and UK promo singles are both dated 1963 and the US single has text "From Dennis & Rogers Sing Folk Hits Of The Sixties GNP Crescendo GNP #88". Albums such as the UK Vogue release pictured on right are dated as 1970 on some web-sites, but must be reissues. The Nashville Swedish single has its own picture sleeve showing the artists, and also promoting the GNP Crescendo album on the rear, although the copy shown actually has the UK Vocalion single inside! There was also a Swedish record with red vinyl as shown. There were two variants, both in the same sleeve. The difference is in the push-out centre - variant 2 has extra text "a CRECENDO recording ("CRESCENDO" is misspelled)". The Italian single was released by Karim Records of Milan. |

This very rare mono EP was pressed in Holland but the sleeve was printed in Singapore to be sold there - as far as I know, it was never available in Holland or in any other country. There is a copy on www.popsike.com with a stamp on the rear sleeve from a record store in Kuala Pilah, Malaysia. The live album by the US group The Tarriers shown has no Dylan material, although it does include The Water Is Wide, performed by Bob in the early 1960s and during the Rolling Thunder Revue, but not recorded, and Mary Ann, included on 1973's deleted album, Dylan.

The Dockx Brothers were a folk-rock band from Belgium who sang in Flemish, the Dutch dialect spoken in Belgium. This band recorded several 7" records for Moonglow Records, then a Belgium label and later established in the USA; in the late 1960s Moonglow was bought by Atlantic. Dave Plentus gave "1963" as the date of release of this EP because "1963" appears in the rear sleeve text, but this year is the date of a TV appearance by this band, not the date of release. Manuel thinks the EP was released later. Blowin' In The Wind is track 2 on the A-side, translated into Flemish as "Woorden In De Wind [Words In The Wind]".
This EP was also released in Belgium with the title "De Vaganten [The Vagrants]" with the same tracklist and a similar catalogue number by a different record company, Arcade Records. The rear sleeve of the Arcade EP is blank.

Capitol CP-4311 is a 2-EP set in a gatefold sleeve made of heavy cardboard. It was again made by Toshiba for Capitol Records, this time as part of their "Compact DeLuxe Best 8" series, which also included releases on Warner Bros like the 1965 Peter, Paul and Mary 2EP set above, and the eight tracks include the four tracks of Capitol CP-4031, but not in the same order. Both EPs are on red vinyl. There is again a 4-page insert with lyrics. Blowin' In The Wind is track 2 on the B-side of the first EP, this time with Tom Dooley as track 1.
Thanks to Manuel García Jara for information and scans.
Marlene Dietrich sings the same version of Blowin' In The Wind with German lyrics by Hans Bradtke as for the 1963 German/Dutch releases by Peter Paul and Mary ( see here), and a German translation of Puff The Magic Dragon on the B-side.
The German Electrola label has the sub-title "Die Stimme seines Herrn [His Master's Voice]". Manuel García Jara has a copy in a generic Electrola "party" sleeve with a gold "Frohe Weihnachten [Merry Christmas]" sticker on the rear. This copy has the "BIEM" copyright organisation logo missing from the text to the left of the centre hole. This single was also released in Holland on the His Master's Voice label with a different catalogue number but in the German sleeve (Manuel has other Dutch Marlene Dietrich singles in German sleeves). It was also released in Denmark, again on the His Master's Voice label with the same catalogue number as the Dutch single, but with a different sleeve.
Thanks to Vladimir Krutoshinskij for details of a Various Artists 10" mono LP record from Riga, Latvia, (then part of the USSR) from 1964. The album is on the Мелодия (Melody) record label and is called Зарубежные Артисты Эстрады – Гости Москвы [Foreign Variety Artists - Guests of Moscow]. Blowin' In The Wind is track 1 on Side 1 and the song title in Russian is "Ответ знает только ветер [The Only Answer Is The Wind]".

The B-side of the East German Amiga single
is the Pete Seeger song, again with German lyrics. The Jun 1964 Amiga promo
EP "Der Klingende Monatsschau [The Sounding Monthly Show]" includes excerpts of both her songs. This Amiga
single was re-released in 1967, 1969 and 1980. The 1967 front sleeve is the
same as the 1964 front except for a different Amiga logo at top right.
Manuel García Jara has a copy of the 1967 single still in the East German
record store bag with a dated receipt where the record labels are
the same as those of the 1964 single except for a missing "N" in the number
below "BIEM" to the left of the centre hole. Ronald Born's 1967 copy comes
in the same sleeve but the A-saide record label just has a "1" below "BIEM". The 1969 single had
a new sleeve design but the same
record labels as Ronald's 1967 single.
The 1980 single had a third sleeve design and was released twice with two different labels, the first was wine red, and the second was blue. The Amiga East German release of the 1966 Dutch compilation Bob Dylan's Greatest Hits also has these two label styles, see International Album Releases (Dylan-Only Compilations) 1960s. |

There is a different cut-out on the open edge and the jukebox strip printed on the rear now has a picture of the artist instead of the Pathé logo. The record has black labels.

This budget 1964 album from World Record Club (part of EMI) includes a
cover of Blowin' In The Wind by the Australian folk group, credited to Bob Dylan and Bobby Richards (who
created the orchestral arrangement). I used to own a
mono copy of this, but it was stolen in May 1968, along with all my Dylan
albums. Thanks to Freddy Ordóñez Araque for scans of the Hong Kong 2016 SA-CD 16-track compilation The Best of Folk Songs including this Seekers cover. The album was made in the EU. |

The Folkswingers - "12 String Guitar!" - stereo 7" jukebox EP, World Pacific/Liberty ST-4-1812 (USA), 1964:
The set also includes two complete strips of mini album pictures and jukebox strips. The record has "Stereo Little LP" in the centre and still has the original World Pacific inner sleeve. Blowin' In The Wind is track 3 on the A-side.

Sam Cooke - "Sam Cooke at The Copa" - two stereo 7" EPs, RCA Victor TLP 2970 (USA), Sep 1964:
It has the same front as that of the original album, with a sleeve made of heavy cardboard with the front design pasted on, blank on the rear. The records inside have generic "Compact 33 Single RCA Victor" sleeves. Ronald Born's copy has an empty window envelope stuck to the rear sleeve, this is not an original feature, but was added by jukebox owners to store the jukebox strips.

Jamaica's Own Vagabonds - "Jamaica's Own Vagabonds" - 7" mono EP releases, Decca DFE 8588 (UK)/Decca SDGE 80882 (Spain), 1964:
The Vagabonds were a Jamaican band. In 1964 they moved to UK and they signed for Decca Records. This EP dates from 1964 and it includes a cover of Blowin' In The Wind.
The Spanish market was very strange and for some reason this EP was also released there and it is very rare. It was made by Discos Columbia S.A., San Sebastian (not Columbia Records in the USA/Canada or the Columbia label owned by EMI, but a third Columbia) for Decca Records, part of RCA. Like the Jan 1964 Spanish EP by Peter, Paul and Mary listed above, also made by RCA, the Spanish translation of Blowin' In The Wind is identical: "Soplando Al Viento". This translation is on the rear sleeve, although not on the Side B record label.

Percy Faith and his Orchestra - "Percy Faith And His Orchestra Play Great Folk Themes" - stereo 7" jukebox EP, Columbia 7-8908 (USA), 1964 (two variants):
The second EP variant has a regular heavy card sleeve with a plain white rear. The front is not quite the same as the first EP variant and the album front, both of which list all the tracks. This time there are 16 jukebox strips (four sets of four like the one shown) and four separate monochrome mini illustrations of the EP cover like the one shown, all inside the sleeve with the record. The album title on the second variant jukebox strips is incorrect - "Great Folk Melodies" instead of "Great Folk Themes".

Les Gais Lurons [The Jolly Kids] - "Les Gais Lurons" - 7" mono EP, Amicale Laïque de Sourdeval 1-7-3194 (France), 1964(?):
This rare mono EP by a children's choir called Les Gais Lurons [The Jolly Kids] was released by the Amicale Laïque de Sourdeval [Lay (or Secular) Association of Sourdeval]. Sourdeval is in the French region of Normandy. Thanks to Barbara Simpson for pointing out that "Gai-Luron" was the title of a series of comic books from Belgium written in French, featuring a cartoon dog.
Blowin' In The Wind is track 3 on the B-side. It is translated again into French as "Écoute Dans Le Vent [Listen To The Wind]", the title for Blowin' In The Wind used when the song was arranged and translated into French by Pierre Dorsay for Richard Anthony, the most important artist who covered the song in French in 1965 (see below). However, the French lyrics are not the same as Dorsay's and the translator is not credited.

The EP has a white sleeve of thick card with the front design pasted on, the rear sleeve is plain white. It has three jukebox strips as well as a mini reproduction of the album front. This untitled Spanish EP was released in Spain by Hispavox. This time it only contains Blowin' In The Wind, which is translated into Spanish as "La Respuesta Está En El Viento [The Answer Is In The Wind]" but is sung in English. The front sleeve is dark red and the rear sleeve has pictures of three Trini Lopez EPs. The record has salmon pink Reprise labels. The EP was reissued by Hispavox in Spain in 1967 with the identical tracklist and catalogue number but with several differences: the colour of the front sleeve is now purple; the rear sleeve has a different Hispavox address and now shows three EPs of Nancy Sinatra (one of these includes her cover of It Ain't Me Babe). There is a handwritten date on the rear of "Julio 67" [July 1967]. The record labels have the new brown/orange Reprise design.

"Golden Folk Songs" (SJET-391) was the second Japanese EP that included Blowin' In The Wind, now track 1 on the A-side. It has a standard sleeve with an increased price of ¥500 on the rear. This EP was dated 1968 by the late David Plentus on his Dylan Cover Albums web-site. SJET-493, a Tamla-Motown EP by Stevie Wonder in Blowin' In The Wind Covers 1966-69, also made by the Victor Company of Japan, is definitely 1968, and also priced at ¥500. The record again has salmon pink Reprise labels. |

(twice), re-released 1967:
The second and most common release of the EP is also from 1965, was again made by Sicamericana S.A.C.I.F.I. for Music-Hall/Reprise. The front picture is a crop of the photo from the first release; it now has a higher green panel with song titles in Spanish. The rear sleeve is white, this time without flaps. Like the previous release, "MUSIC-HALL/60.111" is at rear top left and "33 RPM/DOBLE" at top right. "Vanguard S.R.L." is now printed at bottom left and "INDUSTRIA ARGENTINA", not present on the first release rear sleeve, is printed at bottom right. The song titles are now in Spanish and in English and again have composer credits. Note the mistake: "Lado 2" has tracks 2 and 2, instead of 1 and 2. There is again information about other Music Hall EPs, this time the lowest catalogue number is "60.086" and the highest is "60.108"). The EP title is now "TRINI LOPEZ FOLKLORICO" plus "TRINI LOPEZ, Intérprete [performer]", the song titles are now in Spanish and English, the composer credits are again in brackets.
The rare 1967 EP was again made by Sicamericana S.A.C.I.F.I. for Music Hall/Reprise. The front sleeve is identical to that of the second 1965 release. The rear sleeve is white, without flaps but with a cut-out at the opening edge. Unlike the previous releases, "MUSIC-HALL - DOBLE/33 RPM" is now printed at rear top left and "REPRISE RECORDS/60.111" is at top right. As for the second 1965 release, "Vanguard S.R.L." is again printed again at bottom left and "INDUSTRIA ARGENTINA" at bottom right, but there is now the address of Sicamericana, not present on the second release sleeve. The song titles are again in Spanish and in English but the composer credits are now missing. The mistake "Lado 2" with tracks 2 and 2 instead of 1 and 2 has now been corrected. There is again information about other Music Hall EPs, this time the lowest catalogue number is "60.274" and the highest is "60.287", confirming that this EP has been reissued two years later. The record now has now orange and brown Reprise labels, a new design used since late 66. The EP title is again "TRINI LOPEZ FOLKLORICO" plus "TRINI LOPEZ, Intérprete [performer]". The song titles are again in Spanish and in English; but now the composer credits are without brackets.

This was the equivalent Spanish EP to the French release above with different artwork (taken from a different French EP of this artist) but with the identical tracklist and in the same order (Blowin' In The Wind is again track 1 on the B-side). Blowin' In The Wind is listed on the rear sleeve and on the B-side record label in three languages: English, French (Écouté Dans Le Vent) and the usual Spanish translation on EMI records: "El Susurro Del Viento [The Whisper Of The Wind]", later used in the Brimstone single of 1970 listed in Blowin' In The Wind Covers 1970s Onwards (it seems like each company had its own Spanish translation!). |

In Spain there was a third Columbia, not part of US Columbia, and not part of UK EMI but part of RCA (even though the Spanish subsidiary used the "Magic Notes" logo). Therefore this EP was not released in Spain by EMI-Columbia for legal reasons, but through another EMI subsidiary: La Voz de su Amo [His Master's Voice]. The existence of the RCA Columbia in Spain was the reason that albums were issued in Spain in the 1990s using the CBS/Sony name instead of the Columbia name that had replaced CBS everywhere else.
Columbia SLEM 2168 (Portugal), 1965:
There are two rear sleeve variants, both with the same layout but different text fonts. Most noticeable is that on variant 1 the bottom text "FABRICADO EM PORTUGAL..." is all in upper case, while on variant 2 it is in upper and lower case, starting with "Fabricado em Portugal...". The A-sides of two copies are shown, the first has a promo stamp with text "OFERTA [OFFER]".

The Portuguese stereo EP had a different rear sleeve and the record had maroon paper labels.

The copy owned by Ronald Born has the same front sleeve but there are differences on the rear sleeve and the A-side record label. The Dylan track is credited to "Bob Dylal - Pierre Dorsay" on the rear sleeve this time, and just to "Pierre Dorsay" on the A-side record label. This time the French title is not translated into English on the record label. Ronald also has a 7" mono single with Écouté Dans Le Vent as the A-side in a generic Fontana sleeve. The song is again credited to just "Pierre Dorsay" on the A-side record label, so it was probably released at the same time as the first EP variant. The B-side is Suliram, not on the EP.

These are two more stereo EPs (or "Little LPs") intended for jukebox use only. Each of these jukebox EPs contains six tracks from the Epic LP The Bob Dylan Song Book Played By The Golden Gate Strings, with a different selection on each, although four tracks of the six are the same on both. Blowin' In The Wind is track 2 on the B-side of the first EP, and track 2 on the A-side of the second EP. The first copy is still sealed, with pages of mini album pictures and jukebox strips inside the shrink-wrap on the rear. The record label picture of the first EP is from eBay. The second EP has been opened, which shows it has a trifold sleeve with three panels: the right hand panel has the artwork and the centre and left hand panels each have 10 jukebox strips and three mini album pictures (only the centre and right panels are shown). Unlike the front of the first EP, the front of this sleeve shows only the six tracks included here instead of the tracklist of the full album. The record labels of the second EP are very different, this time with the orange Epic "STEREORAMA" design.

The Golden Gate Strings - "Blowin' In The Wind"/"I Left My Heart In San Francisco - promotional and commercial 7" mono singles, Epic 5-9906 (Italy), 11 Oct 1965:
These singles include the cover of Blowin' In The Wind on the A-side, from the album The Bob Dylan Song Book Played By The Golden Gate Strings and a no Dylan track on the B-side, taken from another album, A String Of Hits, also released in 1965. The record matrix numbers have "11-10-65" on both sides. The sleeve reproduces the front of both albums. Unfortunately the promo or jukebox single has an ugly cut-out centre on both sides. The label of the promo record has a sticker with the usual Italian text "DISCO CAMPIONE NON VENDIBILE [SAMPLE RECORD NOT FOR SALE]"

Johnny Rivers - "Johnny Rivers Rocks The Folk" - stereo 7" jukebox EP, Imperial Records LP-4-2293 (USA), 1965:
This is yet another stereo EP (or "Little LP") intended for jukebox use only. This jukebox EP contains six tracks from the Imperial Records LP Johnny Rivers Rocks The Folk. In the mid-1960s, folk-rock was a successful genre and everyone wanted to do their own "folk-rock" album. One of those was this album by Johnny Rivers. The album front has some titles printed on front, including Mr. Tambourine Man but not Blowin' In The Wind. However this "Little LP" includes both Dylan covers on the A-side. The EP has the usual sleeve made of heavy cardboard with a pasted front design and a blank rear; it includes a page of ten jukebox strips and six mini-pics of the album front printed separately. The record comes in a generic Imperial Record singles sleeve.
