Bob Dylan (1962)
<- |
This page is part of a list of original releases by release
date of international commercially-released regular stereo Dylan albums.
They do not contain rarities or obscurities and are not eligible for the
Searching For A Gem list.
Nevertheless, their interest value or scarcity means they're worth listing here
- as far as I know some are not included on any other Internet site. Promo
releases of regular albums are now listed here and no longer in the former
yearly Promo sections.
Because of the length of this page, The
Freewheelin' Bob Dylan Tape and CD releases are
now here:
[ Freewheelin' 1963 - CD Releases ] [ Freewheelin' 1963 - Tape Releases ]
For releases of this album in CBS/Columbia multi-packs, see International
Album Releases (Regular) - Multi-Packs.

Original US stereo LP, Columbia CS 8786, 27 May 1963. For the mono release
of this album, see Mono Album Releases.
The accepted release date of the commercial album is 27 May 1963, although
it's odd that the withdrawn album is listed in a Columbia Records
release schedule for July 1963. Tim Dunn has found the 27 May 1963 date
listed in "Hit Parader" magazine, May 1974, page 24. He suggests that
Columbia released the album in May but only promoted it belatedly after the
success of Peter, Paul and Mary's cover of Blowin' In The Wind proved that Bob was more than just "Hammond's folly"!
For details of the withdrawn original album with four replaced tracks, see 1963.
The front sleeve photo of Bob and his then girlfriend Suze Rotolo (who sadly
died in Feb 2011) was again taken by Don Hunstein, who took the Bob Dylan
cover picture, on Jones Street in Greenwich Village, New York City, which joins
up with the notorious 4th Street at its eastern end (actually West 4th Street at
this point). Thanks to Eric Baumel for
confirming the location and to Bill and Karen Hester for further information and
the photo.
Thanks to Arie de Reus for this contact strip of photos of Bob and Suze taken
by Don Hunstein during the photo session. These pictures are on Kodak Plus X Pan
film, which was black and white, so must come from a second camera.
This title was one of the fifteen Dylan albums released in
late 2003 as a hybrid CD/SA-CD. This is
playable both in stereo on an ordinary CD player and in enhanced stereo on an SA-CD player
or a DVD player that also plays SA-CDs (Sony's higher range models all do this). This
period was one of great creativity for Bob, and there are many excellent
unreleased tracks from the Freewheelin' sessions - sadly
the opportunity to include many of these as bonus tracks was missed then,
although they were released in 2012 on the very limited 4CD-R set The 50th Anniversary
Collection.

US and Canadian liner notes |
Thanks to Ian Woodward for spotting that the liner notes by Nat Hentoff
on the rear sleeve of all US and Canadian vinyl releases include the text: "...Let
Me Die In My Footsteps, which is not included here, but was released as
a single record by Columbia." It of course was not released in 1962, but
was finally released in an edited version with one verse omitted (presumably
that never-released single version) on The Bootleg Series Vols. 1-3
in 1991. The liner notes were reset for CBS releases outside North America,
and the text was changed to just "...Let Me Die In My Footsteps,
which is not included here." For a picture of Nat Hentoff's notes
for the withdrawn album, see 1963. |

Vinyl Releases
"The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan" -
withdrawn stereo vinyl LP,
Columbia CS 8786 (USA), early 1963:
For details of the withdrawn original album with four replaced tracks, see 1963.
The picture on the left above shows the Canadian front sleeve that listed the
replaced tracks, as the US front sleeve was actually the regular version.
Also shown is a printer's
proof of liner notes for the withdrawn album, the regular sleeve in which
the album comes, and the withdrawn record
labels. Withdrawn label pictures courtesy of Forever Young Records were also
published in "Goldmine"
magazine, issue 564, 8 Mar 2002, in the article by Tim Neely, "Talkin'
Freewheelin' Alteration Blues". Thanks to Arie de Reus for finding colour
scans of one of the only two copies known, which came up for sale on eBay in Oct
2015 for $100,000!
See below for a Singapore/Malaysia copy in the US Columbia Records sleeve where the
record labels list the first version of the song titles as on the front of the
Canadian releases as shown above. The record plays the regular songs.
"The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan" - stereo vinyl LP,
Columbia CS 8786 (USA), May
1963, reissued 1964, 1965, early 1970s:
For more information about the US mono release, see

First release (1963):
Columbia CS 8786 (USA) - front scan
by Hans Seegers (first release with sticker) |
The first release of this album has a
"STEREO/360º SOUND" logo at the top of the
front sleeve and a white sticker with red text "SINGING HIS SENSATIONAL HIT
'BLOWIN' IN THE WIND' ". The record has red Columbia labels with the
"STEREO/360º SOUND" text in black and
"NONBREAKABLE" on the left of the centre hole below the catalogue number.
The vertical text at the bottom left of the front sleeve is "© COLUMBIA RECORDS".
This is missing on the second release sleeve. Gerd Rundel's demo copy of the
first release has stamped matrix numbers:
Side 1 - XSM-58719-3B, Side 2 - XSM-58720-2B. There is a small "1" in the
lower right hand corner of the rear sleeve, not present on Hans Seegers'
copy shown, which indicates that the sleeve was fabricated by Modern Album
of Terre Haute, IN (where Columbia had a pressing plant).
Alexandr from Russia
has a copy with the first release sleeve that also has a "1" at bottom right,
although it has third release record labels with the
"STEREO/360º SOUND" text in white and no
"MASTERWORKS" on the bottom line of text (see below). This record has matrix numbers:
Side 1 - XSM-58719-3-BD, Side 2 - XSM-58720-2AG,
which are in line with it being the third release.

is a reissue of a sleeve fabricated by Imperial
Paper Box Corp., Brooklyn, NY.
Columbia CS 8786 (USA) - detail of

Sergio Mariano Romay has found a copy
online where the record has first
release labels in a mono sleeve with a white sticker at front top left covering
the mono catalogue number (just like Hans Seegers' third release copy below). This copy also has the "BLOWIN' IN THE WIND" sticker.
This sleeve was also manufactured in Terre Haute, IN.
Robert Teets knows of a copy with the
Dylan sleeve and record labels where the record actually plays a Barbra
Streisand album - this is possibly the 1963 Columbia release called just
The Barbra Streisand Album (CS 8807).
Another contributor has a copy where the record has stereo labels but has mono matrix
numbers: Side 1 - XLP-58717-3D, Side 2 - XLP-58718-2B.
Capitol Records US 1967 inner sleeve,
Lance Jacobs has a first release copy with "1" printed on the rear
sleeve at bottom right as in the detail scan by Gerd Rundel above. This
copy has an unusual red/pink inner sleeve. Thanks to Jeff Gold for
information that this is a 1967 Capitol US inner sleeve, as used for
Sergeant Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band by The
Beatles, and does not belong to this album. The record of this copy has
labels with the "STEREO"/arrows logo on black and later matrix numbers:
Side 1 - XSM 58719-3G, Side 2 - XSM
58720-2J. |
Second release (1965):
Columbia CS 8786 (USA) - front scan
by Hans Seegers (second release) |
The second release in 1965 had an almost identical
sleeve, but the labels this time had the "STEREO/360º
SOUND" logos in white. Also, the vertical text on the front sleeve at
bottom left is now missing. "NONBREAKABLE" is still present on the record
labels to the left of the centre hole. The text "MASTERWORKS" has been added to the bottom
of the labels. Augie Krater has a copy where the record has the "MASTERWORKS"
labels but where the front sleeve still has the vertical text at bottom
left. The rear sleeve of Hans' copy (not shown) has a "1" printed at bottom right. Ronald Born has a copy with the first
release sleeve, with the vertical front text, also with a "1" printed at bottom
right. The record labels have the "STEREO/360º SOUND" logos in white.
"NONBREAKABLE" is still present on the record labels to the left of the centre
hole (in fact, this is the only difference between these labels and those of
Hans Seegers' third release copy below). The text "MASTERWORKS" has now gone
from the bottom of the labels.
Thanks to Manuel García Jara for
information that the label design with white arrows was introduced in Jul/Aug
1965 (Bringing It All Back Home had labels with black arrows on original
release in Mar 1965, and Mr. Tambourine Man by The Byrds still had labels
with black arrows on original release in Jun 1965).

Third release (1965):
Columbia CS 8786 (USA) - front scan
by Hans Seegers (third release - mono sleeve with "Stereo" sticker) |
The third release in 1965 used the mono
cover with a "Stereo" sticker - note especially that the title
text on the front sleeve is now at the very top of the sleeve. The rear is
the same as the mono release of the album. The record labels are similar to
the second release with the "STEREO/360º SOUND" logos in white.
The differences are that the text "MASTERWORKS" has now gone from the bottom of
the label, as has the text "NONBREAKABLE" on the left of the centre hole below
the catalogue number.
Alexandr from Russia's copy with these labels
has matrix numbers:
Side 1 - XSM-58719-3-BD, Side 2 - XSM-58720-2AG.
Sergio Mariano Romay has a copy in a mono sleeve with a "Stereo" sticker where
the record has stamped matrix numbers: Side 1 - XSM 58719-3AK, Side 2 -
XSM 58720-2AB.

Fourth release (late 1960s):
Jeremy Mayle has what must be a fourth release, with the same sleeve as the
second release but with labels where the catalogue number "CS 8786" to the
left of the centre hole is now italicised, and has "STEREO" underneath it,
missing from the third release labels. There is one song title above the
centre hole on Side 1 and three song titles above the centre hole on Side 2. This must date from the late 1960s,
as the next release has this detail but 1970s style labels. The matrix
numbers of this copy are: Side 1 - XSM 58719-3B, Side 2 - XSM 58720-2AG.
Gerd Rundel's copy of the same release
comes in a first release
sleeve with vertical text on the front and a small “1” at rear bottom right.
The
matrix numbers of this copy are slightly different:
Side 1 - XSM 58719-3BD, Side 2 - XSM 58720-2AG.
Fifth release (early 1970s - two
variants):
Columbia CS 8786 (USA) - detail of
front, scan
by Gerd Rundel (alternate fifth release) |
Daniel Pritchett's fifth release copy still has
what looks like the second sleeve with the front vertical text and a faint heart
symbol on the rear at bottom left, but the record now has 1970s style Columbia labels
with the logo in a ring. The heart symbol means the sleeve was made by
Columbia at Pitman, NJ.

The catalogue number of the new style labels is still "CS 8786", not "KCS 8786"
as in the next release. "CS 8786" to the left of the centre hole is still
italicised, and again has "STEREO" underneath it. There is again one song title
above the centre hole on Side 1 and three song titles above the centre hole on
Side 2. The record
matrix numbers of Daniel Pritchett's copy are the same as the copy sold in Denmark below, Side 1 - XSM
58719-3BH, Side 2 - XSM 58720-2AK.
Gerd Rundel has
an alternate copy of the early 1970s release
"CS 8786"
in the same
sleeve but with completely different record labels. The sleeve this time has a
"1" at bottom right, which indicates that the sleeve was printed by Modern Album
of Terre Haute, IN. The text is in a different type face and "STEREO" is missing
to the left of the centre hole. All song titles are below the centre hole on
side 1, and only one song title is above the centre hole on Side 2. The record
of this copy has matrix numbers: Side 1 - XSM 58719-3BA (handwritten),
Side 2 - XSM-58720-2AA (stamped).
Gord Pugh has a variant copy of the early
1970s release of "CS 8786". It has a stereo sleeve as above with the "Stereo 360
Sound" on the rear at top left, and "PRINTED IN U.S.A." and "Columbia Records
1963/All rights reserved" at bottom left. There is a capital "A" printed in the
lower right corner, which indicates the sleeve was made by Columbia at Terre Haute, IN. The
record labels have the ring of yellow Columbia logos in a circle. Again,
"STEREO" is missing from below "CS 8786" to the left of the centre hole. The
record of this copy has matrix numbers: Side 1 - XSM 58719-3BH
(handwritten), Side 2 - XSM-58720 2AA (stamped).
My theory is that these 1970s "CS 8786"
record labels may be concurrent, and the labels with "STEREO" are from
Columbia's Pitman, NJ, plant while the labels without "STEREO" are from
Columbia's Terre Haute, IN, plant.
Thanks to Hans Seegers, Gerd Rundel, Howard Bender, Daniel Pritchett
and Gord Pugh for information and scans.

In the late 1970s this album was

stereo sleeve design again, with a new logo in the top left corner, and a

red record labels had "Columbia" in a ring round the outside of the label in
yellow. |

Gerd Rundel has a 1980s copy with just "8786" on the front and rear of the sleeve, but “JC
8786” printed on the spine, there is no barcode on the rear sleeve. The
record labels also have "JC 8786" and the copy shown has stamped matrix
numbers: Side 1 - XSM-58719-3CL, Side 2 - XSM 58720-2BK. “COLUMBIA NY” is
also stamped each side of the vinyl.

Columbia PC 8786 (USA), late
1980s, re-released 1992:
The catalogue number Columbia PC 8786 was
reintroduced in the late 1980s. The front and rear of the sleeve again just
have "8786" as the catalogue number. The rear sleeve now has a barcode. The
Side 1 record label has an inverted triangle to the left of the centre hole,
first introduced in the USA with Biograph in 1985. The copy of the
late 1980s record shown has matrix numbers:
Side 1 - (HXAP) P
XSM-58719-6IE (handwritten), Side 2 - XSM 58720-2BK (stamped).
It was re-released in 1992 using the same
sleeve. The 1992 record had red 1990s style labels with one white Columbia
logo instead of the ring of yellow Columbia logos.
Thanks to Hans Seegers, Paul Prince and Gerd
Rundel for information and

Gerd Rundel has a copy of
the first release of CS 8786 bought in Europe with "Columbia" obscured on the front
sleeve, and hidden by "CBS" stickers on the rear sleeve, the inner sleeve
and the record labels. The red record label stickers are half ring-shaped
and have three "CBS" logos. There is also a small "CBS" sticker
covering "Columbia" in the bottom copyright text. This copy has

Michel Pomarede
has found a very similar copy with the same "CBS" stickers on the
record labels. The front sleeve is different, with two "CBS" stickers covering
the instances of "Columbia" at top left and bottom left. The rear
sleeve has multiple instances of Columbia either obscured or stickered over!
It also has a
printed "1" and handwritten "2" at bottom right. The printed "1" could mean
the sleeve was fabricated by Modern Album
Finishing Co., probably at Terre Haute, IN.

The shaped record label stickers are red and white only, and have just one

has not been obscured. The rear sleeve has "PRINTED IN USA" at bottom left
and a "1" at bottom right. The record of this copy has

Lars M. Banke has a first release copy bought in Sweden with grey/white "CBS"
stickers on the front and rear of the sleeve, and also shaped red "CBS" stickers
on the record labels. "Columbia" is not obscured elsewhere on the rear sleeve
and labels.
The rear sleeve again has "PRINTED IN USA" at bottom left and a "1" at
bottom right (this means the sleeve was
fabricated by Modern Album Finishing Co., probably at Terre Haute, IN.). The record label stickers are red and white only, and have just
one "CBS" logo. This seems identical to Gerd's second copy, apart from still
having a front "CBS" sticker.

Howard Bender has a copy of the 1964 second release
similar to Gerd Rundel's first release copy with all instances of
the name "Columbia" on the front and rear sleeve and the record labels
covered stickers. Like the first release album, this copy was sourced from Columbia USA for export to a
country where the "CBS" name was used. Thanks to Gerd Rundel for
finding a copy on eBay with white ring stickers with "C.B.S." round the
outside of the labels. This was sold in Switzerland. For a 1970s copy with
different stickers
purchased in Denmark see below.

Rene Jørgensen has a copy of the
early 1970s US
release of this
album bought in Denmark. It has all the Columbia logos either covered with
"CBS" stickers or blacked out. The labels are the
US fourth release style (see above) with catalogue number CS 8786 and a
ring-shaped sticker round the outside edge hiding the repeated Columbia
logos. The front sleeve has the STEREO/arrows logo and a catalogue number of KCS 8786.
The record of this copy has matrix numbers: Side 1 - XSM
58719-3BH, Side 2 - XSM 58720-2AK.
Lars M. Banke has copies of Nashville Skyline and
Self Portrait bought in Denmark with the same type of stickers, so it
would appear these imports do date from the early 1970s. Howard Bender has a
copy of the 1964 second US release with similar stickers, see above.

without stickers.

The front sleeve of the first Canadian
release of Freewheelin' Columbia CS 8786 had in error the withdrawn track
listing as shown below (see 1963 for details of the
withdrawn album). However, the record inside was the regular release. The
rear sleeve had the revised track listing but with only 12 songs listed,
omitting Don't Think Twice, It's All Right even though it was on the album.
Hans Seegers' record has red Columbia
labels with black "STEREO/360º SOUND"
text and stamped matrix numbers: Side 1 -
XSM-58719-3AA,
Side 2 -
XSM-58720-2C.
The second release of this album came in a sleeve that
was almost identical to that of the first release. It now has "LITHO IN
CANADA" on the spine, so the vertical text at front bottom left is shorter.
The record now has red Columbia record labels with white "STEREO/360º
SOUND", the same as the second US release labels. The bottom text of the
record labels is different, instead of "PRINTED IN CAN." it has
"MANUFACTURED BY COLUMBIA RECORDS OF CANADA". Gerd Rundel's second release
copy comes in this sleeve without stickers and the record has stamped matrix
numbers: Side 1 - XSM-58719-3AK, Side 2 - XSM-58720-2C. Gerd
also has a copy of Columbia CS 8786 with two different labels - Side 1 has
the first release label with black "STEREO/360º SOUND" text while Side 2 has
the second release label with the same text in white. The sleeve is again
the same as Bill Matthews' described below except for a record store label.
The record again has stamped matrix numbers: Side 1 - XSM-58719-3AK,
Side 2 - XSM-58720-2C. Rick Craddock has a copy in the second release
sleeve where both sides of the record have labels with black "STEREO/360º
SOUND" text! The record yet again has stamped matrix numbers: Side 1
- XSM-58719-3AK, Side 2 - XSM-58720-2C. My guess is that
Columbia Canada staff were not fussy about which design of labels they stuck
on records while they were in the process of changing over from first design
to second design labels and still had old stock left!
Columbia CS 8786 (Canada), early 1970s:
Stan Denski has a copy of Columbia CS 8786 from the
early 1970s with a reprint of the first Canadian sleeve with the withdrawn
track listing and with the red Columbia "360º SOUND" labels. The sleeve
printer was Shorepak Canada, and the rear sleeve has text "SHOREPAK CAN.
PAT. NO. 758888, 1967." (not on the original sleeve). The original 1963
release had what was known as a "fabricated" sleeve, with artwork printed on
to paper which was then pasted on to a thick grey card sleeve, but
this 1970s release is "board-printed", a later design with the artwork
printed directly on to slightly thinner white cardboard (as is the
1975 release). Stan previously had what must have been a later copy of this
1970s release because it had the same sleeve but the red and gold 1970s
labels.
Columbia CS 8786 (Canada) - detail of rear,
scan by Gerd Rundel (early 1970s release, "SHOREPAK
CAN" on right)
Bill Matthews has a copy of CS 8786 which is
significantly different from Stan Denski's: the front sleeve has the withdrawn
titles as shown above but the vertical "Copyright Columbia Records" text only
reaches up to Down The Highway (in the detail picture of Hans Seegers' copy
shown above it reaches beyond the track titles). The rear sleeve does not list
Don't Think Twice, It's All Right, the "LITHO
IN CANADA" text is moved to the spine near
the bottom, and the text "Shorepak Canada" is absent, indicating it's probably
from another printer. The labels have the "360º SOUND" text in white on Side 1
and in white and black on Side 2, the matrix numbers of this copy are: Side 1 -
XSM-58719-3AK, Side 2 - XSM-58720-2C.

Columbia KCS 8786 (Canada) - front
scan by Hans Seegers |
The
KCS 8786 re-release in 1976 corrected both the tracklisting on the front sleeve (also
see below) and the omission of Don't Think Twice, It's All Right on
the rear sleeve.
On the reissue KCS
8786 front sleeve the replacement track listings
for Side 1 and Side 2 look as if they have been pasted in from another sleeve,
as they are in rectangles of a slightly different colour from that of the
background! The record has orange Columbia labels with the Columbia logo round
the circumference and the bottom text now has "CBS RECORDS CANADA LTD.".
(Columbia Records of Canada Ltd. was renamed CBS Records Canada Ltd. in late 1976.)
The record of the copy shown has matrix numbers: Side 1 -
XSM-58719-2A-2GH (written), Side 2 - XSM-58720-2AK (stamped).

is not obscured. This album again has the front sleeve with the

SBPG 62193 (UK), Nov 1963 (first
release variant 1):
CBS SBPG 62193 (UK) - front scan by Gerd Rundel (1963 release
with centre "STEREO" logo) |
The first stereo UK
The
Freewheelin' Bob Dylan, catalogue number CBS SBPG 62193, was released in Nov 1963.
Gerd Rundel has two copies in a stereo sleeve with
printed black stereo/arrows logo front and back, but with the records made by
Philips or EMI on behalf of CBS Records, which he believes are the actual
first UK releases. At that time CBS had no pressing plant in the UK,
although they subsequently bought the Oriole Records pressing plant in Sep 1964. Records
pressed by Philips
can be distinguished by the text "RECORDING FIRST PUBLISHED 1963" on the
orange CBS record labels to the right of the centre hole. The first Philips
record has stamped matrix numbers:
Side 1 - SBPG V
62193 V
1Y V
1//420
1, Side 2 - SBPG V
62193 V
2Y V
1//420
1 ("V"
is actually an upside-down triangle).
The first record sleeve
has two folded-over flaps and the US catalogue number on the rear sleeve is
correctly shown as "CS 8786" (the stereo number). |

CBS
SBPG 62193 (UK), Nov 1963
(first release variant 2):
Gerd Rundel has a second copy with the same sleeve as the first 1963 release
and where the record has exactly the same matrix numbers as above. However
it has a CBS-style label (see the third 1963 release below) with just
"(P) 1963"
to the right of the centre hole as opposed to
"RECORDING FIRST PUBLISHED 1963" on the Philips record labels. The
difference from the third release labels is that this has the catalogue
number as "sbpg 62193" whereas
they have it as "Sbpg 62193"
(large "S"). The label has a raised ring inside the CBS logo as the first
Philips variant.
CBS
SBPG 62193 (UK), Nov 1963
(first release variant 3):
The record has textured orange CBS labels with "sbpg
62193", just "33" as the speed information, "(P) 1963" as
the date of release: the labels
match the variant that Gerd describes as "first 1963 release variant 2, record made
by Philips with CBS labels", but this record is also unique in having
definitely US matrix numbers stamped on both sides, starting with "XSM" not
with "SBPG" (see detail of record label).
The record of this copy has stamped matrix numbers: Side 1 - XSM-58719-3B,
Side 2 - XSM-58720-2B, so may have been pressed in the USA. (Gerd
Rundel's demo copy of the first US release has stamped matrix numbers:
Side 1 - XSM-58719-3B, Side 2 - XSM-58720-2B, the same numbers
exactly!)
CBS
SBPG 62193 (UK), Nov 1963
(second release - two variants):
CBS SBPG 62193 (UK) - front scan by Gerd Rundel (second 1963 release,
record made by Philips/EMI?, both copies) |
Both these second release variants come in the same sleeve with three folded-over flaps and
where the US catalogue number is again wrongly
shown as "CL 1786" (the mono number). The black "STEREO"/arrows logos on the
rear sleeves are also positioned differently. There is no printer's name at
the bottom. The front of the sleeve is the same as Gerd Rundel's copy first
release variant 1 above.
The
second release variant 1 record shown has catalogue number "SBPG 63193" and completely different stamped matrix
numbers:
Side 1 - SBPG-62193-1A-1, Side 2 - SBPG-62193-2B-1. It is possible because of these
unusual
matrix numbers this record was pressed by EMI, not Philips, although it has
Philips-style matrix numbers to the right of the centre hole on the labels -
SBPG-62193 1Y and SBPG-62193 2Y.
Gerd Rundel's very rare second release variant 2 record comes in the same sleeve but
the record labels are quite different, with a very noticeable title error - "THE
FREEWHEELIN' BOD DYLAN"!. The record again has the unusual
stamped matrix numbers:
Side 1 - SBPG-62193-1A-1, Side 2 - SBPG-62193-2B-1,
and it is again possible because of the
matrix numbers this record was pressed by EMI, not Philips. This time it has
catalogue number "Sbpg 62193" and CBS-style matrix numbers to the right of the centre hole on the labels - SBPG
62193 A and SBPG 62193 B (also no hyphen between "SBPG" and "62193").

catalogue number "Sbpg 62193"
and stamped matrix numbers:
Side 1 - SBPG-62193-1A-1, Side 2 - SBPG-62193-B, different
from any others listed here. Lars M. Banke has a UK copy in this sleeve sold in Germany with a sticker
on the front sleeve with “STEREO auch MONO abspielbar [STEREO also playable
MONO]”. The record has third release labels as shown below with catalogue number "Sbpg 62193"
and stamped matrix numbers:
Side 1 - SBPG-62193-1A-1, Side 2 - SBPG 62193 2B-1
(same as those of Hans Seegers' third release record below). |

The front sleeve of the
first 1964 release is identical to that of the third 1963 release (mono sleeve). The rear sleeve comes
without folded-over flaps and with the same "STEREO"/arrows stamp in
red as the 1963 sleeve, but differently positioned. The record shown has orange
CBS labels with a slightly different layout and
matrix numbers as before: Side 1 - SBPG-62193-1A-1, Side 2 - SBPG-62193-2B-1. The record speed is shown as
"33⅓" and there is no publication date. Rene Jørgensen has
a copy of this first 1964 release with matrix numbers:
Side 1 - S62193-A1, Side 2 - S62193-B3.
Ronald Born dates this pressing with the "33⅓"
playing speed on the labels as Autumn 1967!

The second 1964 release is from
late in that year and has an identical front sleeve to the first 1964 release. The rear sleeve
has a black on gold foil stereo hexagonal sticker and has a different lay
out than the previous one with stereo information in a box at the
bottom. Both sleeves were printed by
Ernest J. Day & Co., Ltd., London W11.
The record has orange CBS labels, again with a
slightly different layout, and
matrix numbers as before: Side 1 - SBPG-62193-1A-1, Side 2 -
SBPG-62193-2B-1. The record speed is still shown as "33⅓",
but in much smaller text.
Anders Berg has a UK release in a
sleeve without folded-over flaps on the rear with a stamped "Stereo" in red.
The record has
"33⅓"
on the Side 1 label and just "33" on the Side 2 label. The record of this
copy has stamped matrix numbers as before: Side 1 - SBPG-62193-1A-1,
Side 2 - SBPG-62193-2B-1.
CBS
SBPG 62193 (UK), late
1960s(?):
CBS SBPG 62193 (UK) - front, my copy (late 1960s release) |
Rene Jørgensen has
two copies bought in Denmark of what looks like the second 1964 release of CBS SBPG 62193,
but may be later. The sleeves
are laminated on the front only. The front CBS logo is
thickly drawn and larger than the next example (see below). One copy has a
gold foil hexagonal "Stereo" sticker on the rear sleeve, which has the text
box with stereo information and shows the printer's name of "Ernest J. Day &
Co., Ltd." and "GB" vertically at bottom right. |

Rene's
first record has orange CBS labels with playing speed "33⅓"
and matrix numbers:
Side 1 - S62193-A1, Side 2 - S62193-B1. What is unusual
is the inner sleeve, which dates from 1969 and shows an illustration of
Nashville Skyline. Rene now has a second copy in the same sleeve and
inner sleeve with slightly different text placement on the record labels.
The second record has matrix numbers: Side 1 - SBPG-62193-1A-1, Side 2
-SBPG-62193-2B-1. I have a copy with the same sleeve, but without the
gold foil "STEREO" sticker on the rear. The record has the same labels and
matrix numbers as Rene's second copy shown. The inner sleeve of my copy is
again from 1969, but with different albums illustrated, and with
Nashville Skyline in a different position.

The sleeves of these mid 1970s copies of CBS SBPG
62193 are laminated on the front and partly on the rear. They have just the CBS logo on the front, no catalogue number, in a panel
that again looks overprinted.
The rear sleeve has just the CBS logo and "62193" at top right and "GB" printed vertically
at bottom right. The rear sleeves still have the text box with stereo
information, but on the first copy the printer's name is "E. J. Day Group,
London and Bedford"
as Rene's copy above, on the second copy there is no printer's name below it.

The records now have orange/yellow CBS labels, first introduced in the UK
with
The Basement Tapes
in 1975. Both records just have
the album title above the centre hole, no extra "BOB DYLAN". "MADE IN ENGLAND" is
still at the bottom of the labels as on all of the previous orange label
releases.
The first record labels have a catalogue number of
"Sbpg
62193" to the right of the centre hole, like the 1960s releases. There are no blank lines between the
song titles and “Blossom Music” on both sides, also the song title numbering
before “Blossom Music” ("1-6." on Side 1, "1-7." on Side 2) is missing.
The record of this copy has
stamped
matrix numbers:
Side 1 - S 62193 A2, Side 2 - S-62193-B3. It comes in a plain
white “MADE IN ENGLAND” inner sleeve.
The second record labels have a catalogue number of "S BPG 62193" to
the right of the centre hole. The text layout to the left and right of the
centre hole is similar but in different type faces from those of the first
record. There are black lines between the song titles and "Blossom Music" on
both sides and "Blossom Music" is preceded by numbers "1-6." or "1-7.". The
record of this copy has matrix numbers: Side 1 - SBPG 62193 A
(stamped), Side 2 - CBS-S-62193 B-4 (handwritten).

This early 1980s copy of "CBS BPG
62193" was signed by Bob at a show in Spain in the early 1990s.
The front CBS logo is again thinly drawn and the same size as the previous
examples (see above), again in what looks like an overprinted panel, without
a catalogue number underneath. The rear sleeve still has the text box with
stereo information. It has
"CB|271" in a capsule plus "60" in a circle
at top right and "LC|0149" in a capsule at bottom right as well as "GB" printed
vertically. Again there is no printer's name.
Manuel's
record has orange/yellow CBS labels with "BOB DYLAN" as well as the album
title and is the third early 1980s variant listed below. The catalogue number
on the labels is now just "BPG 62193" (the mono catalogue number).

Gerd Rundel
(first early 1980s release) |
Gerd Rundel has a copy
in the same sleeve as Manuel's (but without the signature) that also has
record labels with the mono catalogue number. However, these labels must be
earlier because
“MADE IN
ENGLAND” is still at the bottom of the labels. |

"LC|0149" in a capsule is not printed on the labels of any of
these records, which is
surprising for releases of this date.
Gerd also has a copy
in the same sleeve (again not signed by Bob) where
"MADE IN ENGLAND" is now in the circumference text, with no text at the
bottom of the labels. The records of
both
Gerd's copies shown have handwritten matrix numbers:
Side 1 - CBS S 62193 A5, Side 2: CBS S 62193 B5.
The record of
Manuel's copy has handwritten matrix numbers: Side 1 - CBS
62193 A5, Side 2 - CBS 62193 B5 (no "S" after "CBS" on both
sides). "MADE IN ENGLAND" is again in the circumference text, with CBS
copyright info now at the bottom of the labels.
CBS
62193 (UK), early
1980s (two variants):
These two early 1980s
variants from Gerd Rundel again come in the same sleeve as Manuel's "BPG 62193"
copy above. The catalogue number is now "CBS 62193". They both now have the
expected "LC|0149" capsule at high top right. Both copies have "MADE IN ENGLAND"
in the circumference text to the right of the centre hole.
There is a different text layout right and left of the centre hole from that of
the "BPG 62193" variants (e.g. the arrows logo below "Stereo" has gone), and
bizarrely
there is a copyright date of 1967 to the right of the centre hole.
The producer name John Hammond plus "Warner Brothers Music Ltd." are now
printed below the song titles.
The first variant has no text at the bottom of the labels, the second variant
has CBS copyright info (a later design). There is also a minor change in the
circumference text: on the first variant it includes "UNAUTHORISED PUBLIC
PERFORMANCE, BROADCASTING, COPYING AND RENTAL OF THIS RECORD PROHIBITED"; on the
second variant this sentence has been changed to the slightly longer
"UNAUTHORISED COPYING, PUBLIC PERFORMANCE, BROADCASTING, HIRING OR RENTAL OF
THIS RECORDING PROHIBITED". This means that "MADE IN ENGLAND" is in a slightly
different position on the second variant labels. The record of the first variant
shown has
handwritten
matrix numbers: Side 1 - CBS S 62193 A5, Side 2 - CBS S 62193 B5.
The record of the second variant shown has
handwritten
matrix numbers: Side 1 - CBS 62193 A5 (no "S" after "CBS"), Side 2 - CBS S 62193 B5.
There may be an earlier 1980s "CBS
62193"
release that
still has "MADE
IN ENGLAND" at the bottom of the labels.
Because all these five early 1980s
variants come in the same sleeve and the records have almost the same matrix numbers, I
suspect the three "BPG 62193" variants and the two "CBS 62193" variants were
concurrent, with labels from different printers.

CBS

variants):
The labels of Gerd Rundel's variant 2 copy have both "MADE IN ENGLAND" and CBS
copyright info in the circumference text to the right of the centre hole, and no
text at the bottom. The album title is above "BOB DYLAN". The record
again has handwritten matrix numbers: Side 1 - CBS 62193 A5, Side 2 - CBS 62193
B5.

1980s; Columbia 32390 1 (UK), 1991:
CBS 32390 (UK) - detail of rear, scan
by Gerd Rundel (mid 1980s release)
The rear sleeve has a barcode. Scans of the CBS 32390
release with orange/yellow record labels and Columbia 32390 1 required! There
may also be a late 1980s/1990 release with catalogue number CBS 32390 1.
There is no CBS
logo on top left of the front, the rear sleeve has
a barcode at top right and like the labels, just “32390” as the catalogue number.
The record labels have
“(P) 1967 CBS Records Inc.” right to the centre hole. They again have "MADE IN
ENGLAND" and CBS copyright info in the circumference text to the right of the
centre hole, and no text at the bottom, like the variant 2 CBS 62193 record
labels immediately above. The record
comes in a “Nice Price” inner sleeve. This copy has handwritten matrix numbers:
Side 1 - 32390 A1, Side 2 - 32390 B1. Peter Oudejand has a copy where the
circumference text is shorter because "MADE IN ENGLAND" is missing, only the CBS
copyright info is in the circumference text. I don't have a Side 2 picture for
this record.

on 180gm vinyl. The copy shown is in a still-sealed plastic sleeve, so no
record label scans are available. Thanks to Sergio Mariano Romay for finding
a test pressing of the 1999 release on eBay. The album
was subsequently released by Simply Vinyl on 125gm vinyl, with a new
catalogue number, 8786/S 125017 in 2001 and 2003. The sticker on the 2001
release mentioned the 125gm weight, the sticker on the 2003 release said only "Heavy Vinyl",
but there was a second round dark blue sticker that said "160G VINYL PRESSING". The
front sleeve of the 2001/2003 releases has no CBS logo. |

the record labels, missing from Hans' copy. It has the same matrix numbers but
handwritten:

Lars M. Banke has a third copy with white CBS stickers
covering the Columbia logo in the upper left corner of the front sleeve and in
the upper right cover of the rear sleeve. Two instances of "Columbia" at the
bottom of the rear sleeve are partly obscured. The record labels are without
"NONBREAKABLE". The record has handwritten matrix numbers: Side 1 - XSM 58719,
Side 2 - XSM 58720, implying it was sourced locally. Lars has a fourth copy with
Columbia logos with black lettering printed on the front and rear sleeve. "360
STEREO SOUND" on the labels without arrows, and "NONBREAKABLE"
missing as Gerd's copy above. It has "Columbia 1963" at the bottom of the rear
sleeve. The record of this copy has handwritten matrix numbers: Side 1 - XSM
58719, Side 2 - XSM 58720.
CBS had a record pressing facility in Singapore from 1967, so records after
that were all sourced locally.

The 1960s releases use the UK crop of the front photo with a central "Stereo" logo, much
smaller on the third 1960s release and the 1970s release. The rear sleeve of the first
and second 1960s releases has two fold-over
flaps and the sleeve is laminated on the front only. The third 1960s release and the 1970s release rear sleeves have no fold over flaps and
have a bottom text box
missing from the rear of the first and second releases.
The
1960s records have orange CBS labels. The first and second release labels have
the "Allan's" logo, which is missing from the third release
labels. (Allan's were music publishers in Australia for Bob Dylan records between
1965 and 1969, so the third release is after then.) The second release labels
have a smaller Allan's logo and the song titles are in italics. The copy shown
of the second release has matrix numbers: Side

The 1960s record labels shown have round the circumference at the bottom
the text "MADE IN AUSTRALIA BY A REGISTERED USER OF THE TRADE MARKS" without
a CBS copyright. This is because up to 1977 all Australian records were
manufactured by the Australian Record Company (Pty) Ltd. (A.R.C.) on behalf
of CBS. A.R.C.
changed its name to CBS Records Australia Limited on 17 Oct 1977, and after
that date the longer bottom edge text includes CBS copyright
information. (Stuart Moore says that the label change may not have occurred
till late 1978 or early 1979, Bob Dylan At Budokan from 1978 still
does not have a CBS copyright nor does Masterpieces, Slow Train
Coming from 1979 does have the CBS copyright.)
CBS

centre. Like the late 1960s sleeve, the rear sleeve has no folded-over flaps
and has the bottom text box.
The records from the 1970s release have new style orange/yellow CBS labels.
There are two record label variants: the first has the shorter copyright
text at the bottom of the labels as on the 1960s labels; the second has the longer copyright text
from after CBS bought
the Australian Record Company (A.R.C.).

This new stereo vinyl release from Sony

1970. The price is now ¥4,180 whereas the original price was ¥1,800! It
comes with a 60th Anniversary postcard commemorating Bob's debut on Columbia

(spot Bob and Suze). The Japanese script says "60 years since his debut
album was released" (19 Mar 1962 in the USA, although not until 1966 in
Japan). The original picture is called "Sudden Shower over Shin-Ohashi
Bridge and Atake" and dates from 1857. |

Letter from Discos CBS Spain, 13 Dec 1971, re The Freewheelin' Bob
Dylan, scan by Manuel García Jara |
Although it was not released in Spain until 1971, contrary to previous
reports this album was not banned by the Franco regime in the 1960s.
In
1971 all tracks were authorised by the Spanish censor except "Masters Of War".
Censors said this song was "subversive and violent". CBS argued in its defence
(13 Dec 1971) that "Masters Of War" was "a song against war but not against
morals or religion". The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan
was eventually authorised and this album was released in the last days of 1971.
The first Spanish
releases of
Bob Dylan's Greatest Hits,
Nashville Skyline
and
Self Portrait
were made by Fonogram, but the original releases of the rest of
the albums, from
Bob Dylan
to
Bob Dylan's Greatest Hits. Vol. II, were made by COFASA. According to Juan
B. Heinink, who worked at CBS at this time, the COFASA releases are the rarest and the best copies ever made in Spain: good pressing
and excellent quality of sound: original
matrices sent directly by Columbia in the USA were used in the manufacturing
process.

CBS S 62193 (Spain) - front scan by Manuel García Jara (1971 COFASA release) |
This is the first release of this album in Spain. The front sleeve is
identical to the later Spanish releases; the rear sleeve has a slight difference: "PRINTED IN SPAIN"
is added in front of the vertical text at bottom right.
This
album includes an inner sleeve with song lyrics in English and comments in
Spanish. There is a mistake on both sides of this inner sleeve: "The Frewheelin'".
This mistake was never corrected in subsequent releases (Manuel adds: typical Spanish: when
someone makes a mistake, this mistake is forever! nobody here takes interest in
correcting anything!)
The record labels have one title per line. The copy shown has
matrix numbers: Side 1 - XSM-58719-3BD, Side 2 - XSM-58720-2AE. |

It was released again in 1978, with orange/yellow CBS labels
of a different design. The song titles are now one per line and centred instead
of being continuous, and the text to the left of the centre hole is arranged
differently with the arrows under "ESTEREO" to the left of the centre hole now
missing. There are two variants - to the left of the centre hole on the labels
of Lars M. Banke's copy the
"33⅓"
is centred below "ESTEREO" instead of being under the "EO".
The record of this copy has stamped

The album was released again in 1983 as CBS 32390, still with orange/yellow
labels. The "PR" underneath the catalogue number on the 1983 rear sleeve means
"Precio Redondo" (Nice Price). The
rear sleeve has the printer’s name and address (Offset ALG – San Raimundo 31, Madrid-20)
and the new Discos CBS S.A. address (Paseo de la
Castellana 93, Madrid–16) at the bottom. As pointed out by
Manuel García Jara, the change from "Avenida del Generalísimo
25, Madrid-16" was not a physical move, the Madrid street was actually
renamed and the building numbers changed!
The
record was made in Spain by Discos CBS S.A. and has orange/yellow labels
dated 1983. |

CBS 32390 was re-released in 1985.
The front and rear sleeve are
fully laminated. On the front (to the right of Suze Rotolo) there are signs of a
missing sticker, possibly “PRECIO REDONDO
[NICE PRICE]”. However, unlike the 1983 release, on the rear sleeve at top right
“(PR)” is missing between the catalogue number (CBS 32290) and the CBS logo. Like
the other releases, the rear
sleeve has notes in Spanish. The inner sleeve is generic, with a centre hole in one
side only. |

same as the 1983 labels. However, the
circumference text is much longer and adds “Impuesto de Lujo a Metálico
– Permiso Num. 7053 [Luxury Metallic Tax – Permission No. 7053]”. The record of

CBS 32390 was re-released in 1989
(still with the Spanish "Legal Deposit" date of 1983 on the Side 1
record label) and
again in 1990
(now with the Spanish "Legal Deposit" date of 1990 on the Side 1
record label). The rear sleeve has different text at the bottom from that of the
1983 and 1985 releases.
The Discos CBS S.A. address is
now Paseo de la
Castellana 93, 28046-Madrid (just a postcode change!). The records have
red CBS labels and were now made in Spain by Tecnodisco S.A., Madrid.
The 1989 record
labels have the same text layout as the 1983 labels (reverting to the
circumference text without "Impuesto
de Lujo a Metálico"), but the 1990 labels
are completely different, for example with the full album title instead of
just "THE FREEWHEELIN'". The 1989 record has matrix numbers:
Side 1 - 32390 A, Side 2 - 32390 B.
CBS/Sony 465214 1 (Spain), 1989:
This album was re-released in 1989 as part of a

Lars M. Banke has two copies: the
first has the same record labels as Hans Seegers' copy, and the front sleeve
has a 1991 "Nice Price" sticker. The CBS/Sony record labels are similar to
the late 1980s red CBS labels above, without arrows underneath "ESTEREO" to
the left of the centre hole
and "33⅓"
on a third line, while "SGAE" to the right of the centre hole is unboxed.
The record labels of the second copy, which comes in a sleeve without a
sticker, have arrows underneath "ESTEREO" to the left of the centre hole
like the 1985 labels, "33⅓"
is on the same line as "ESTEREO" and "SGAE" to the right of the centre hole
is in a box. The record of this copy has matrix numbers: Side 1 - 32390 A

The first stereo copy shown
was pressed in New Zealand around 1974. It was released in New
Zealand by Phonogram (part of the Philips group, later PolyGram and now
Universal). The record has the catalogue number 474237,
so it was released between new albums Dylan
(SBP 474158) in 1973 and Blood On The Tracks
(SBP 474262) in 1975. However, this may not be the first stereo release of this
album in New Zealand. This copy has a mono sleeve, printed by
Cello-Kraft Ltd., with a white border on the front and the CBS logo without
a catalogue number. The rear sleeve has the CBS logo with the mono catalogue
number (BP 473155) but also a "Stereo" sticker. It has two folded-over
flaps, which is a puzzle as CBS New Zealand generally stopped using this
style of sleeve around 1973. The record labels are plain orange and, like the copy with
orange/yellow labels shown, the music publisher is Quaver. The copy shown
has matrix numbers: Side 1 - SBP474237 A-6295 700, Side 2 -

of Side 1, scan by Manuel García Jara (1974 release) |
The second release is a reissue from the late 1970s as the New Zealand
release of Desire in 1976 still used the plain orange 1960s-style CBS
labels. It was again released in New Zealand by Phonogram (part of the Philips
group, later PolyGram and now Universal), and the sleeve now has the
Phonogram logo at bottom centre, introduced around 1974. The rear sleeve now has no folded-over
flaps as expected.

CBS 62193 (Greece) - detail of rear,
scan by Lars M. Banke (third mid-1970s release - new printer details printed
vertically on right)
The front
sleeve for the first and second mid-1970s releases has "GUARANTEED HIGH
FIDELITY" printed at bottom left. The rear sleeve has Greek text at the bottom
and has a printer code "MT 4958" at extreme bottom right (in this
series of releases Bob Dylan
was "MT 4957", The Times They Are A-Changin'
was "MT 4959", etc.). As far as I know this
was the first release of this album in Greece, so must date from about 1976.
The record in the first mid-1970s release was made in Holland and has the same
labels as the record of the 1975 Dutch release above. The copy shown has handwritten
matrix numbers: Side 1 - S 62193 A, Side
2 - S 62193 B, the same matrix numbers as the equivalent 1975 Dutch record above.
The second
mid-1970s Greek release comes in the same sleeve but now has a Greek disc with
orange/yellow CBS labels with "BIEM" to the right of the centre hole, and
just "(P) 1967" at the bottom of the labels.
The copy shown again has handwritten
matrix numbers: Side 1 - S 62193 A, Side
2 - S 62193 B.
The third
mid-1970s Greek release has a new sleeve with no “GUARANTEED HIGH FIDELITY” in
the lower left corner of the front sleeve and a different printer’s name printed
vertically in the lower right corner of the rear sleeve.
The record has similar same Greek labels to that of the second mid-1970s
release but they now have two lines of circumference text instead of one. The
record of the copy shown again has handwritten
matrix numbers: Side 1 - S 62193 A, Side
2 - S 62193 B.
There may be a late 1970s/early
1980s Greek release with the third sleeve but with later orange/yellow CBS
record labels without "BIEM" to the right of the centre hole, and extra Greek
text at the bottom of the labels below "(P) 1967".

CBS 32390 (Greece) - detail of rear, scan by
Lars M. Banke (late 1980s release, still
dated "1967", printer name missing on right)
The first 1980s Greek release is
dated "1967" on the rear sleeve and "1975" on the record labels, but
actually dates from 1982 or later, because it has the new catalogue number
CBS 32390 (see Dutch and Spanish releases with this catalogue number above).
There is a CBS "Nice Price" sticker on the front sleeve. Both the sleeve and the
record were made in Greece. This mid-1980s sleeve has the same front as the
third mid-1970s sleeve without "GUARANTEED HIGH FIDELITY" but now has completely
different Greek text printed at rear bottom right. New printer details are
printed vertically at rear bottom left as shown. The mid-1980s record again has orange/yellow CBS labels and
the copy shown has handwritten matrix numbers: Side 1: S 62193-A,
Side 2: S 62193-B.
The second 1980s Greek
release is again dated "1967" on the rear sleeve and "1975" on the record
labels, but this time dates from the late 1980s. It has a laminated sleeve with
the same "Nice Price" front sticker as the mid-1980s copy shown. The rear sleeve
now has a barcode sticker over the CBS logo at top right. The printer details
printed vertically at bottom right are now missing. The record now has red CBS
labels with the late 1980s design and the copy shown
has handwritten
matrix numbers: Side 1 - S 62193 A, Side
2 - S 62193 B.

"The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan" - stereo vinyl LP,
CBS/Sony LP-1602/62193 (Philippines), 1981:
CBS/Sony LP-1602/62193 (Philippines) -
front scan by Lars M. Banke |
This very rare 1981 release was made by Blackgold Records
Corporation on behalf of CBS/Sony Inc., Japan. It has the European catalogue number 62193 as well as a new number LP-1602.
The logos at rear top right are very similar to those of the 1975 Dutch
release, current at this time. The record has red/brown CBS/Sony labels with the logos in a ring.
On Side 1 Down The Highway is
mistitled as "Down In The Highway".
Marco's Side 1 record labels are further misprinted: the white overprinting of the
ring of logos is
missing on Side 1, while on Side 2 this white overprinting is misaligned.
Lars' labels look correctly printed, although the "Down In The
Highway" mistake is still present on Side 1.
This copy has handwritten matrix numbers: Side 1 - LP
1602 A, Side 2 - LP 1602 B.

Columbia/Jigu Records CPL-1142 (South Korea), 30 Sep 1991:
The 1988 album was released by Jigu Records Corporation of
Seoul, South Korea, under licence from CBS. It has brown CBS labels. There
is a folded booklet inside the sleeve with the song lyrics and notes in South Korean. The picture on the front of the booklet is from the rear of the
booklet with Biograph, released in 1985. The details from the inner sleeve are from the top right and bottom left
- otherwise the sleeve is plain white.

The second album dates from 1991. There's a Government approval date of
"91-3-27" (27 Mar 1991) and release date of ."91-9-30" (30 Sep 1991) on the
record labels. This album has a single page insert, not a booklet as the 1988 release. It
has the later record
label design, now "Columbia" instead of "CBS/Sony". The copy shown has a CBS/Sony sticker
on Side 1 with text "ONLY FOR
BROADCASTING". Manuel has three copies, all in the same sleeve and with
the same insert:
- Promotional copy with a radio station sticker on both
labels: "ONLY FOR BROADCASTING"
- Promotional copy with same sticker on
Side 1 label only.
- Commercial copy without label stickers.
The records of all these copies have matrix
numbers: Side 1 - CPL-1142-A, Side 2 - CPL-1142-B. The spine of the
