This is an extracted list from Searching For A Gem of live recordings from 1988 onwards that have appeared on official "rarity" releases, mostly from Columbia - effectively Bob's live Never Ending Tour album! This excludes the recordings on the Duets page. Some of these appeared first on bobdylan.com, see Online Performances. (Performances that have appeared exclusively on bobdylan.com are not listed here.) For performance before 1988, see Bob's Early "Field Recordings" 1961-87.

"Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome the poet laureate of rock 'n' roll. The voice of the promise of the '60s counterculture. The guy who forced folk into bed with rock, who donned makeup in the '70s and disappeared into a haze of substance abuse, who emerged to find Jesus, and who suddenly shifted gears, releasing some of the strongest music of his career beginning" in the late '90s. Ladies and gentlemen, Bob Dylan!" This introduction to Bob's live show is from Bob's road manager Al Santos, and is taken from a review by Jeff Miers of the Dylan concert at Hamburg, NY, 15 Aug 2002, that appeared in the New York State local newspaper "The Buffalo News". Jeff Miers is still the music reviewer at "The Buffalo News".

Audience recordings are indicated by (A).
