If you have any entries to add to the list or additions/corrections to existing entries, please let me know!

Please note I cannot value your Dylan rarities - see the Mission page for reasons why. Contact the dealers on my Trading page for assistance!

This is a separate multi-year list by release date of commercially-released Various Artist stereo compilation albums released in 1990 that have been referred to me but do not qualify for my Searching For A Gem list because they contain only Bob Dylan performances which are available on officially released Dylan albums. Nevertheless, their interest value or scarcity means they're worth listing here - as far as I know some are not included on any other Internet site. Promo-only Various Artist compilation albums with Dylan tracks and Radio Station Albums are included here also. Other International Albums and Compilations are now here:

Various Artists - "GoldDisc" - compilation radio station CD release: TM Century GoldDisc (various catalogue numbers) (USA), 1990(?):

TM Century GoldDisc 224 (USA) - rear insert scan by Jack from Canada
These CDs which came in jewel cases without front inserts were part of a service from TM Century Inc. of Dallas, TX (formerly Century 21), to supply weekly compilations on CD to local radio stations. This was a practical proposition while CD releases of the tracks used for the compilations were fairly uncommon, but once CDs became widespread the service was no longer required. Keith Venturoni from Dallas tells me that the company is no longer in business, and the CDs in this series were sold off in Dallas for $1 each!

Columbia CK 46033 (USA) - front of sealed copy with sticker, scan by Hans Seegers

Bob's contribution to this album is I'll Be Your Baby Tonight from John Wesley Harding. Hans Seegers gives the European catalogue number as Columbia 468123 9, Stuart Moore's copy is 468123 2. Both the European and South African releases are on the Columbia label, not CBS, which makes me believe they were not released until 1991, although the rear inserts have a 1990 date (the name change was on 1 Jan 1991).

The 1991 Japanese Sony Records release has been retitled just Country Classics - Vol. 5: A New Tradition, omitting the "Columbia". It has a yellow and white obi with price ¥2,500 (¥2,427 plus sales tax), release date "D-5-22" (22 May 1991). The front insert is a 32 page stapled booklet in English and Japanese.

Elektra PRCD 8208-2 (USA) - CD2 scan by Peter Oudejans (includes Bob)

This 4CD promo set celebrating Elektra's 40th Anniversary came as two separate 2CD sets in double-width jewel cases inside a slipcase. I previously had only the second 2CD set listed as it appeared separately on eBay in 2008.

The second 2CD set, PRCD 8208-2, is called Rubáiyát: The Originals. Bob's contribution is Going, Going, Gone by Bob Dylan and The Band from Planet Waves on CD2. Planet Waves was originally released in 1974, mostly on the Asylum label but on the Elektra label in some countries.

Thanks to Stuart Moore and Peter Oudejans for information and scans.
